Pregnant Woman Relaxing

Pregnancy & Postpartum

Support for women navigating conception, pregnancy, birth, and motherhood

Let me paint a picture you might recognize

You're three days postpartum. Your body is bleeding and healing. You haven't slept more than 90 minutes at a time. And when visitors arrive, you're apologizing for the messy house and offering them coffee. You're managing their comfort while you're running on empty.

You're 32 weeks pregnant. Your doctor dismisses your concerns. You nod and smile because you don't want to be 'difficult.' Your plan to get your questions answers was derailed by your people pleasing tendencies and you leave the appointment feeling disappointed.

It's 3am. Your partner is asleep because 'he has to work tomorrow.' You don't wake him for help because you feel guilty asking, even though keeping a human alive IS work. The resentment builds, but you push it down because 'good mothers handle it.'

Sound familiar?

This stage of life has so much to navigate, let me help you.

The perinatal period tests you:

Advocating in medical settings when your body is vulnerable and the system expects compliance

Setting boundaries with unsolicited advice from everyone who's ever had an opinion about pregnancy/parenting

Trusting your intuition over external 'shoulds' about how to birth, feed, or parent

Asking for help without apologizing or feeling like a burden

Redefining identity when your priorities and capacity change and you can no longer uphold your same high expectations for yourself you once did

Relationship resiliency when you're tired, stressed, overstimulated, overwhelmed, feel like you're 'winging it' your relationships become strained

I work with women at every stage:

Preconception & Early Pregnancy

  • Processing anxiety about pregnancy/birth

  • Addressing past trauma or difficult experiences

  • Building advocacy skills before labor

  • Preparing your nervous system for transition

Birth Preparation

  • Creating birth plan/preferences that honor your needs

  • Processing fear around labor/medical interventions

  • Building capacity to advocate during birth

  • Partner support and communication

Postpartum

  • Prenatal and postpartum anxiety/depression

  • Intrusive thoughts and OCD symptoms

  • Birth trauma processing

  • Identity shift and overwhelm

  • Partner relationship strain

Doula experience + advanced perinatal mental health training + trauma informed = support that actually gets it

The transformation from NICE GIRL to Self-Assured Woman is the most important preparation for motherhood that no one talks about.

Being a NICE GIRL makes pregnancy and postpartum so much harder. It shows up in moments like:

  • Smiling through painful breastfeeding and not getting help with your latch

  • Over-extend yourself on two hours of sleep

  • Not asking for help because they 'should' be able to handle it

  • Apologizing to your partner for needing support

  • Overriding your body to meet everyone else's expectations

  • Feeling like a failure when you can't do it all

Maybe you watched your own mother do this. Maybe you saw the burnt-out and resentful woman who never said no, never asked for help, never took up space with her needs.

But you don't want to be that mother. This is the opportunity motherhood offers: Not to repeat what was modeled to you, but to break the cycle.
